Meet Madeline

I’ve always had a natural eye for beauty—my mom is an interior designer, so I guess you could say it’s in my blood. I grew up in antique stores, where I developed a deep appreciation for the history and craftsmanship of bygone eras. There’s nothing like an English rolled-arm sofa or a Louis Philippe mirror to bring depth and character to a space.

At the same time, I’m mesmerized by the simplicity and functionality of contemporary design (give me a Vladimir Kagan Nautilus chair any day). I love layering beautiful pieces from different eras, collecting and curating from all reaches until I find that perfect balance of old and new, elegant and edgy, luxurious and accessible.

In a word—timeless.

What to Expect

An Accessible Design

We have an exceptionally discerning eye when it comes to beauty, but our spaces are never precious. We spend a lot of time thinking about function and the way you live at home, so the whole family feels comfortable and happy to be themselves—kids and pets included.

A Tailored Approach

In addition to customizing your space with special fabrics and furnishings you won’t find in standard stores, we also work really hard to source one-of-a-kind pieces that represent you, scouring flea markets, antique stores, and far-flung locations.

A Seamless Experience

Organization makes our heart sing almost as much as a vintage Saarinen table (ok, that’s a stretch, but we do know our way around a spreadsheet). We’ll manage and execute your project with efficiency and total transparency. Bottom line: your timelines and budgets are safe with us.

“From flea markets in Vienna to the fair in Round Top Texas, I love to travel and keep my eyes open for special pieces for my clients.”

Testimonials

“Madeline is so organized, on top of everything, and easy to work with. We just get each other. She has amazing style and a special talent for figuring out how to pull a room together with an interesting mix of vintage and modern that feels homey and livable. She treated the design of our home with as much passion and care as if it were her own.”
—Zoe Black, Brooklyn, NY

“Incredible taste and project management ability don’t always go hand-in-hand in this field, but Madeline has both in spades. She has a beautiful eye and also understands function, which is a real gift, especially in the commercial space. She was equally excited about every phase of the project, from the earliest designs to being on site with a box cutter and clipboard to making magic happen in those final days where everything comes together. She is a total joy to work with.”
—Michael Pollak, Co-Founder, Heyday

“We hired Madeline to design our holiday pop-up store, an ambitious project in New York City during Covid. She not only made it happen on a tight timeline, but she executed beautifully. She’s that rare unicorn of a designer with the perfect left brain-right brain balance. She has elevated taste, but makes it work on a budget. What she did for us was magic.”
—Allison Greenwell Affinito, Chief Product Officer, Hill House Home
